English Language Specialist

As an English Language Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive language assessments and providing coaching to employees on spoken English, vocabulary, and pronunciation. You will also monitor call quality, develop and manage auto-scored English language proficiency assessments, and transcribe files.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct English language assessments for new and existing employees, including those who are being interviewed.
  • Monitor call quality by reviewing 1-5 calls per day and provide feedback to employees.
  • Coach employees on spoken English, vocabulary, and pronunciation to improve their language skills.
  • Develop and maintain customer service training specific to UK culture and UK English language.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of transcribed files.
  • Design and implement auto-scored English language proficiency assessments to ensure employees can effectively communicate with customers across various countries.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in English Literature, Applied Linguistics, Educational Linguistics, Psychology, or a related field with a focus on language proficiency assessment and testing.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in teaching English, preferably in IELTS, PTE, or Cambridge English exams.
  • Hold certifications such as IELTS/CEFR, PTE, Language certificate, Oxford English Test, and British Council experience is essential.
  • Experience in coaching accent and grammar is advantageous.
  • Relevant national and international experience is a definite plus.
