
Staff Scheduler and Roster Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Scheduler and Roster Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
About the RoleThis role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive high-quality, consistent support by effectively managing staff scheduling and rosters.
Key Responsibilities:- Rostering Management: Develop, maintain, and update staff rosters in Visual Care to ensure optimal coverage for all support shifts across SIL, SDA, and community programs.
- Roster Updates: Respond promptly to roster change requests, cancellations, and urgent shift fills.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with support workers and coordinators to ensure shift coverage aligns with client preferences and support plans.
- Staff Management: Monitor and manage staff availability, leave, and qualifications/certifications to ensure compliance with NDIS and company standards.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure all roster-related data is accurate and up-to-date for billing and payroll purposes.
- Payroll Support: Assist with generating timesheets, payroll reports, and client invoices using Xero.
- Collaboration: Liaise with Operations and HR teams to forecast staffing needs and address rostering issues.
- Conflict Resolution: Escalate unresolved scheduling conflicts to the Rostering Team Leader or Operations Manager.
- Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a high standard of customer service in all interactions.
- Rostering Experience: Previous experience in rostering or scheduling, ideally within the disability, aged care, or community services sector.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Visual Care or similar client and staff scheduling software.
- Xero Knowledge: Working knowledge of Xero accounting/payroll systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Computer Literacy: Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.
- NDIS Understanding: Understanding of NDIS guidelines and person-centred support principles.
