About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced General Counsel - Corporate Governance to join our team at NADRA Technologies Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and overseeing the development of effective legal strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the legal function: Provide strategic legal advice to the organization, develop and implement effective legal strategies, and oversee the management of legal risks.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
  • Develop policies and procedures: Develop and maintain policies and procedures that reflect best practices in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and data protection.
  • Manage relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and other key partners.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum of 20 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a specialization in constitutional, privacy, administrative, corporate or commercial law.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to apply legal principles in a practical and business-focused way.
  • Experience: At least 20 years of experience in practicing law in well-reputed organizations, with a proven track record in leading legal strategies, advising senior stakeholders, and handling legal matters involving large databases and IT infrastructures.
  • Leadership abilities: Strong leadership abilities to manage and direct legal and cross-functional teams effectively in high-stakes scenarios.
  • Professional certifications: Familiarity with international standards in data protection and privacy, and working knowledge of procurement/PPRA/SCEP rules and regulations.
