Job Description

  • The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our Business Continuity Management System.
  • The role involves ensuring that business continuity processes align with ISO 22301 standards and other relevant frameworks.
  • This includes conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to our operations.
  • We require collaboration with key stakeholders to prioritize risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Business impact analysis will be conducted to identify critical resources including maximum tolerable downtime, recovery time objective and recovery point objective.
  • A comprehensive business continuity plan, procedures, and documentation will be developed and maintained.
  • Regular reviews and updates will be conducted to ensure the effectiveness of continuity measures.
  • An incident response, crisis management and disaster recovery framework will be established and managed.
  • Drills and exercises will be coordinated and conducted regularly to test the effectiveness of continuity and response plans.
  • Test results and incidents will be analyzed to identify areas for improvement and necessary enhancements will be implemented.
  • Training will be provided to employees on business continuity principles, procedures, and their roles in a disruption.
  • A culture of preparedness and resilience will be fostered across the organization.
  • All relevant documentation will be up-to-date and accessible to key stakeholders.
  • Internal audits will be planned and conducted regularly to assess compliance with ISO 22301 standards.
  • Collaboration will be required with department heads to address and rectify non-conformities identified during audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Continuity Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP - Certified Business Continuity Professional) is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing business continuity plans within an ISO 22301 framework.
  • A strong understanding of risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex processes and projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to business continuity.
