This role focuses on steering transformative projects with global impact.
The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for leading project management with the engineering team in JIRA, coordinating product development across various departments, and ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and strategic business objectives.
The Sr. Product Manager oversees and directs the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conception to post-launch optimisation.
This includes defining and prioritising user stories, acceptance criteria, and features in JIRA, ensuring that engineering teams have clear specifications.
The Sr. Product Manager also collaborates with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of technical requirements.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining regular communication with clients to guarantee satisfaction and alignment with their expectations.
The Sr. Product Manager must balance speed of delivery with product quality, stability, and scalability, while mitigating risks in project execution and proactively resolving blockers.
Foster continuous communication with clients, ensuring their feedback is integrated into product iterations and guaranteeing their satisfaction with the final deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management in JIRA with the Engineering Team
- Supervise and oversee project execution in JIRA, ensuring that all engineering tasks are correctly prioritised and assigned.
- Manage and optimise backlogs, sprints, and workflows in JIRA, ensuring that every stage of development progresses according to plan.
- Lead sprint planning meetings, backlog refinement, and retrospectives with the engineering team.
- Ensure that all tasks have clear acceptance criteria, estimated timelines, and assigned ownership.
- Mitigate risks in project execution and proactively resolve blockers.
- Monitor project progress in JIRA and generate status reports for stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial and technological objectives.
- Develop a clear product roadmap, prioritising features that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Balance business needs, technical feasibility, and user experience, ensuring a competitive product offering.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer support to define product positioning and evolution.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Act as the primary link between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executive leadership, ensuring a unified product vision.
- Ensure that customer and stakeholder expectations are clearly communicated and aligned with available resources.
- Provide regular updates to all stakeholders regarding progress, changes, and project roadblocks.
- Foster continuous communication with clients, ensuring their feedback is integrated into product iterations and guaranteeing their satisfaction with the final deliverables.
- Product Development & Execution
- Oversee and direct the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conception to post-launch optimisation.
- Define and prioritise user stories, acceptance criteria, and features in JIRA, ensuring that engineering teams have clear specifications.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of technical requirements.
- Optimise development processes, ensuring that the engineering team has the necessary structure to work efficiently.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, or a related field.
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Project Management (PMP, CSM, PSM, SAFe) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Software Project Management.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple departments.
- Advanced knowledge of JIRA project management with engineering teams.
- Ability to define, prioritise, and execute product roadmaps in agile environments.
- Familiarity with UX/UI strategies, customer-focused development, and process automation.
- Experience in direct client engagement and managing expectations to ensure satisfaction.
