Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, and cakes.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of all baked goods.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Manage the bakery's kitchen and equipment.
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures in food handling.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop new recipes and products.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking or baking.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer requests.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and sanitized.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Baker or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and methods.
  • Experience using commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, etc.
  • Creativity in developing new recipes and products.
  • Attention to detail in decorating cakes and pastries.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings or late evenings.
  • Sense of ownership over work.
