About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cost Engineer to join our team.

  • Developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and tender documents in coordination with operations teams.
  • Evaluating periodic prices for key raw materials and critical items.
  • Leading tendering processes, defining tender procedures, inviting bids from pre-qualified vendors, completing tender cycles, and finalizing vendors by considering procurement SOPs.
  • Managing procure-to-pay (P2P) and source-to-pay (S2P) processes to ensure compliance with strategies, purchasing channels, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Developing cost-effective procurement plans for the purchasing of materials and services, executing strategic sourcing plans, assertively negotiating, and managing commercial supplier relationships and contracts to deliver significant cost savings for the business.
  • Developing and monitoring Contractor Performance Management Systems in coordination with operations teams.
  • Exploring and driving cost-saving initiatives by applying global best practices with required local customization, coordinating with clients, CBRE global teams, and local operations teams.
  • Providing extended support to finance departments on their requirements and queries related to supplier invoicing, documentation, and active status.
  • Played an important role in achieving departmental savings targets using the concept of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Worked with relevant parties to consolidate, reduce, and rationalize suppliers in approved supplier lists (ASLs). Continuously monitored, evaluated, and improved supplier performance.
  • Refurbished contract databases, monitored contract expirations, and ensured timely renewals.

    • Ability to conduct cost estimations for civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering works according to designs, drawings, and standards.
    • Ability to develop BOQs, specifications, and tender documents.
    • Ability to establish and manage efficient and effective procure-to-pay cycles and supplier relations management.
    • Ability to drive cost-saving initiatives, including vendor consolidation and value engineering.
