Procurement Specialist Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods and services from suppliers. This involves identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring timely deliveries and quality of goods and services.

  1. Supplier Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet the company's needs.
  2. Enquiry Management: Send enquiries to suppliers and manage their responses.
  3. Negotiation: Negotiate with approved suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  4. Purchase Order Management: Coordinate the preparation and release of purchase orders.
  5. Specficication Update: Ensure that specifications, technical details, and terms & conditions are up-to-date and accurate.
  6. Delivery and Quality Control: Monitor and ensure timely deliveries and quality of goods and services.
  7. Documentation and Payments: Follow up on documentation and payments to ensure prompt processing.
Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for performing the following key responsibilities:

  • Material Planning: Play an active role in material planning and procurement strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
