Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Procurement Specialist to join our team.

This role involves assisting in planning, supervising, and monitoring all activities related to the procurement of goods, supplies, and equipment containers from international sources. The successful candidate will ensure that procurement processes comply with relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing procurement policies and procedures applicable to international procurement.
  • Supporting supervisors in executing procurement plans and schedules in coordination with user departments.
  • Ensuring quantity requirements and specifications meet user agreements.
  • Preparing tender announcements following relevant policies and regulations.
  • Reviewing technical and financial bid evaluations, preparing evaluation reports for further review.
  • Coordinating contract finalization with suppliers, negotiating terms, and overseeing purchase order issuance.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Department regarding foreign payments and Letters of Credit.
  • Supervising real-time import tracking, generating accurate reports for senior management.
  • Obtaining shipment statuses and coordinating clearance and delivery with relevant departments.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier and vendor management databases and records.
  • Ensuring proper processing of invoices and assisting in budget preparations.
  • Assisting in audit queries and preparing responses with supporting documents.
  • FOLLOWING AND PROMOTING THE ORGANIZATION'S RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

an MBA preferably in Supply Chain from an HEC-recognized university with at least 2 years of experience.

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent is an added advantage.

Experience with PPRA rules and regulations is preferred.
