Regional Sourcing Strategist

This role is responsible for developing and implementing regional sourcing strategies across warehousing and inland transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies across AMET and APAC regions.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and performance key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to the global logistics category roadmap and transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and planning teams.
  • Drive savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability improvements.
  • Support compliance, supplier onboarding, and procurement reporting.

The Regional Sourcing Strategist manages logistics spend of approximately €25–35 million. Covers warehousing and transport in complex, multi-market environments. Oversees performance and engagement of 30–40 suppliers. Collaborates with regional and global supply chain stakeholders across functions.

Communication:

  • Interfaces with supply chain, operations, and finance leads in AMET and APAC regions.
  • Represents procurement in business reviews, planning forums, and transformation initiatives.
  • Leads supplier meetings and contributes to global supplier relationship management.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • 6–8 years of logistics or indirect procurement experience, preferably with regional exposure.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or Engineering (Master's is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of logistics markets in developing and emerging economies.
  • Excellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in English; able to collaborate in virtual, cross-cultural teams.
