We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead our material procurement efforts in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase materials at the most competitive prices through strategic supplier relationships and effective negotiations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of essential materials to our production facilities.
  • Foster strong partnerships with suppliers, exploring new opportunities and improving services.
  • Ensure the quality of supplied products meets our high standards through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve purchase request-related issues and optimize procurement processes.
  • Follow up on rejected materials with relevant departments to minimize disruptions.
  • Engage in outdoor sourcing activities, visiting suppliers' premises to establish reliable relationships and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Implement our company's purchasing strategy effectively, leveraging data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions.
  • Purchase all necessary imported raw materials based on production plans, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
  • Develop new vendors for non-proprietary items, expanding our procurement network and reducing dependence on sole suppliers.
  • Assist department heads in vendor negotiations and performance monitoring, providing expert advice on procurement best practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions and negotiate better deals with suppliers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to our company's purchasing policy, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the procurement process.
  • Coordinate with finance for timely payment to vendors following invoice submission, streamlining cash flow management.
  • Manage stock and consumable item procurement, maintaining accurate records and minimizing waste.
  • Work closely with the procurement committee on bidding processes, ensuring fairness and competitiveness.
  • Prepare regular status reports and purchase orders to ensure seamless operations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • MBA in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of achieving procurement excellence.
