Procurement Strategist Role

The role involves developing procurement strategies and executing sourcing plans to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.

You will be responsible for conducting market analysis, identifying trends, and developing recommendations for procurement improvement initiatives.

In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Executing sourcing plans to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
  • Conducting market analysis and identifying trends to inform procurement decisions.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in strategic sourcing, global category management, complex procurement contracting, and operational category efficiency projects.
  • Solid leadership experience, extensive procurement knowledge, and deep expertise in one or more categories.
  • Strong experience in procurement systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with procurement technologies and tools.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in procurement such as CIPS or APICS.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
