Overview

The role of Quality Assurance Coordinator in a hospital setting is pivotal in ensuring that healthcare services meet established standards of quality and regulatory requirements.

This includes monitoring patient care processes, conducting audits, collecting data, and reviewing clinical practices to identify areas for improvement.

The QA coordinator plays a crucial role in taking quality improvement initiatives, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in operational planning of quality assurance programs, systems, and processes.
  • Act as a resource and liaison between medical services and the quality and infection prevention department.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor clinical indicators as an input to peer review in collaboration with various departments.
  • Compile and analyze institutional dashboard indicators, track performance metrics, and ensure compliance with international safety goals.
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits, compile results, and execute action plans accordingly.
  • Implement best practices for optimal resource utilization.
  • Review and authenticate quality documents, including scope of services, standards of practice, and training materials.
  • Ensure employees receive required trainings and support comprehensive unit-based safety programs.
Requirements
  • MBBS/BSN degree
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience, including one year in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to leverage technology efficiently
