Senior Contracts Manager

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert contract management services, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that the project runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze Agreement Documents to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documents/reports and analysis related to contractual issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project status and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to review, comment, and respond to Contractor correspondences, providing advice on contractual/commercial aspects.
  • Lead negotiation and claims meetings, summarizing results after obtaining confirmation.
  • Verify the submission of required bank guarantees, warranties, insurances, and other specified documentation from Contractors.
  • Identify potential contractual or commercial implications that may impact Client's interests and initiate appropriate responses.
  • Monitor and process commercial and contractual aspects pertaining to Variations/Change Orders and claims.
  • Evaluate and advise on Contractor claims in light of contractual obligations and technical input from the Project Team.

Job Requirements:

  • Senior Contracts Engineer must be an Engineer by qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with a valid Professional membership of PEC and/or International equivalent membership.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant foreign and local work experience in administrating, managing, and handling complex contracts for High Rise Building Projects and Infrastructure & Utilities projects.
  • Familiarity with key areas such as indemnities, insurance, guarantees, warranties, and liquidated damages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead issues and proactively obtain resolutions to problems; decisive and confident.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
