Expert Accountant Role Summary

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, in-depth accounting knowledge, and a proactive approach to improving processes. The successful Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Additionally, the successful candidate will support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing historical and trend analysis.

They will also coordinate with external auditors during audits and assist with audit preparation.

Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and ensure data integrity.

Review and improve accounting procedures and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Intuit Enterprise accounting software.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with US Taxation.
  • Prior experience with mid-to-large-sized corporations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
