Job Overview

This role is a key position within our organization, focusing on the operational management of facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and technical systems management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the operation and maintenance of facility technical systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Plan and execute regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and system failures.
  • Respond to facility-related issues, identify problems, and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Maintain system performance, ensuring all equipment operates according to safety standards.

Team Support & Supervision
  • Lead and mentor the facilities maintenance team, providing them with necessary resources and guidance.
  • Help coordinate daily work schedules and assign tasks based on priorities.
  • Promote a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging open communication and development.
  • Assist team members in resolving technical challenges and improving skills.

Facility Maintenance and Operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs, SOPs, and SOWs to ensure reliability and efficiency of facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure comprehensive facility management.
  • Lead single or multiple facility operations, aligning with established protocols, tools, and processes.
  • Maintain high-level infrastructure and building components.

Soft Skills and Customer Service
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal staff, contractors, and external vendors, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Apply strong communication and social skills to facilitate effective conversations between teams, collaborators, customers, and service providers.
  • Resolve facility-related issues in a customer-centric manner, minimizing disruptions to operations and enhancing tenant satisfaction.

Health, Safety, and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote safety by encouraging team members to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Maintenance Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, maintenance activities, repairs, and system inspections.
  • Produce reports for management highlighting critical metrics such as uptime, repair expenses, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure documentation for compliance purposes is up-to-date and accessible.

Project Management Assistance
  • Support facility-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and renovations.
  • Assist in project timelines, budgets, and workflows to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to achieve project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • At least 6 years of experience in facility management.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and completing technical services.
  • Facilities management or technical certifications are an advantage.
