Vendor Relationship Director

We are seeking an experienced Vendor Relationship Director to establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, drive business growth in the clothing and fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Engagement: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to foster vendor collaboration and increase assortment.
  • Product Development and Management: Coordinate product photo-shoots or request high-quality product images from vendors to enhance our product offerings.
  • Inventory Control and Order Fulfillment: Provide timely stock updates to vendors to prevent order cancellations due to stock-outs and ensure smooth inventory management.
  • Promotion Optimization: Monitor and follow up on all promotions to maximize sales and revenue growth.
  • Vendor Payments and Financial Transactions: Manage vendor payments by sending invoices at the end of each payment cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Foster sustainable trust with vendors through effective negotiation, minimize conflict resolution, and mitigate vendor-related risks.
  • Contract Administration and Compliance: Collaborate with the legal team to administer contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and address any contract changes, disputes, or updates.
  • Business Partnership and Methodology: Develop and implement vendor partnership strategies, leveraging best practices to strengthen relationships and optimize business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Strong Business Acumen: Proven track record of successful negotiations, relationship management, and analytical thinking.
  • Project Management and Organizational Skills: Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Computer Competency: Proficiency in computer software and systems, with experience in using relevant tools for vendor management and communication.
