Big Data Engineer

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and Apache Spark ecosystem
  • Develop machine learning preprocessing pipelines with advanced data transformation and feature engineering
  • Optimize performance for large-scale distributed data processing
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Required Skills:
  • 1-2 years experience with PySpark/Apache Spark with big data ecosystem: HDFS, Hive, SparkSQL, Parquet, Delta Lake
  • Advanced SQL performance tuning for distributed systems
  • Strong Python programming skills with scientific computing libraries
  • Data warehousing and orchestration: BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift, Airflow/Prefect/Dagster, Databricks
