Our company seeks an experienced backend engineer to design, build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and Express. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in MERN stack development with a strong emphasis on backend.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Backend Development: Design, build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and Express.
  • API Development: Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend logic for high-performance applications.
  • Database Management: Work with MongoDB for schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • AWS Integration: Integrate and manage AWS services including Lambda functions (serverless execution), SQS (Simple Queue Service) for asynchronous workflows, and DynamoDB for NoSQL data modeling and access.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Implement event-driven and serverless architecture solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with frontend developers working with React.js.
  • Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor, debug, and optimize system performance in production environments.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in MERN stack development with a strong emphasis on backend.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, and DynamoDB.
  • Solid understanding of serverless architecture and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Experience in designing scalable APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
