Job Title: Tax Leadership Role

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage overall tax operations and compliances at both direct and indirect taxes. The role requires delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with federal and provincial tax laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with tax authorities, interact professionally, and provide innovative tax planning with the ability to review the tax impacts of business transactions. They will also improve processes and leverage technology to support Touch Free Operations, prepare high-quality tax analysis by reviewing transactions flow of different business segments, and manage tax assessments, compliances, appeals, stays, hearings to ensure secure submissions.

  • Deliver a full range of tax services including tax advisory on day-to-day matters and projects, contract reviews, and risk management.
  • Develop good communication interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Closely coordinate with tax advisors/legal counsel in tax matters.
  • Timely update Risk lists and tax case books.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of federal and provincial tax laws.
  • Good knowledge of business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting tools.
  • System savvy and business process improvements know-how.
  • Good command of office tools, such as PowerPoint and spreadsheets.
