Linux System Administrator

Are you a skilled Linux professional seeking a challenging role that utilizes your expertise in system administration? We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
  • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems to ensure seamless access and data security.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems to ensure high levels of performance and availability.
  • Security Measures: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, including regular security audits and patch management.
Backup and Recovery Procedures:

We require the development and maintenance of comprehensive backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. This includes conducting regular backup tests to validate the effectiveness of these processes.

Networking Expertise:

The ideal candidate will possess strong networking skills, including configuration and troubleshooting of network settings such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. Collaboration with network administrators is essential to ensure seamless connectivity.

Scripting and Automation:

We are seeking a candidate who can develop and maintain scripts for automating repetitive tasks, implement automation tools to streamline system administration processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software development, testing, and deployment activities.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.).
  • Skills: Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.), networking protocols, and security measures, combined with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
