Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership and support in human resource issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy development, performance management, and staff development.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide leadership and support in human resource issues to ensure the implementation of the organization's strategy and operational plans.
  • To develop a strategic approach to human resource development and management to ensure the effective implementation of the organization's strategy and operational plans.
  • To develop appropriate human resource policies and standards in line with applicable laws, rules, and legislation to ensure effective, fair, and equitable management of staff throughout the organisation.
  • To ensure that HR issues are given full consideration in all decision making.
  • To uphold the Islamic values and principles within the human resources policies and lead by example.
  • To integrate the organization's cornerstones into the human resources policies and practice where appropriate.
  • To ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively.
  • To provide support to managers on HR and organisation development issues.
  • To develop and implement a process of induction for staff, volunteers, and trustees.
  • To develop, implement, and manage a system of performance appraisal.
  • To manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that all individual training plans are followed up.
  • To ensure that salaries and benefits are regularly reviewed and are in line with the market trends.
  • To provide support and advice as appropriate in disciplinary, grievance, and other such matters.
  • To oversee the implementation of HR systems and record keeping and ensure follow-up where necessary.

  • Relevant experience of working in human resources, including policy and procedure development, performance management, management, and staff development. Up-to-date knowledge of Pakistan's employment legislation.

  • Proven ability to work in a team-working style in complex, interdependent organisations.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be the only person with specialist knowledge in the organisation.
  • Good at developing relationships (including distant and cross-cultural relationships).
  • Able to persuade and negotiate with people to ensure that standards are met.
  • Ability to think strategically and to ensure that HR issues are addressed in the strategy and operational plans.
  • Flexible - able to work strategically and at a hands-on level.
  • IT literate.
