Database Operations Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our data systems. Your expertise will be essential in managing and maintaining our database infrastructure to guarantee seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor, and support production and non-production databases on cloud platforms.
  • Implement best practices in database design and optimization to ensure security, integrity, and availability.
  • Perform backup and recovery procedures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and manage database maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and review data models and queries to optimize database operations.
  • Provide guidance and best practices to developers on database structure and data modelling during feature development.
  • Maintain and document standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a MySQL Database Administrator.
  • Familiarity with database automation, monitoring, and alerting tools.
  • Solid understanding of database security and optimization best practices.
