Job Opportunity: Supporting a Child with ADHD

The role of Clinical Psychologist involves providing academic and emotional support to a child diagnosed with ADHD in a school setting.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to make a tangible difference in a child's life while collaborating with a senior psychologist.

Responsibilities:
  • Shadowing and Educational Support:
    Provide consistent, in-class support to the child throughout the school day at their school. Assist with organization, focus, and task completion. Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the child's needs and learning style. Collaborate with teachers to ensure the child's successful integration into the classroom.
  • Therapeutic Intervention:
    Implement individualized therapy plans under the guidance of the senior psychologist. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help the child manage ADHD symptoms, including Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques, Behavioural interventions to improve attention and self-regulation, and Emotional regulation strategies.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    Work closely with the senior psychologist and regularly observe and document the child's behaviour and progress. Participate in meetings with the senior psychologist, parents, and teachers to review goals and strategies. Assist in the administration and interpretation of psychological assessments.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Experience working with children with ADHD.
  • Strong understanding of child development and special education needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
