Technical Account Manager Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to join our team in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the Technical Account Management team, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and customer-facing skills to develop and execute organizational strategies that drive customer adoption and success.

A key aspect of this role is developing strong, technical relationships with strategic customers who utilize large and complex SingleStore deployments. In addition to helping these customers maximize their technology usage, you will play a key role in building applications that have a profound impact on how companies operate. As a Technical Account Manager, you will work closely with clients to ensure seamless solutions from Proof of Concept to Steady State.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Serve as the primary technical manager and liaison for key enterprise customers.
  • Act as the customer's trusted technical advisor, helping them mature their SingleStore capabilities, skills, and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to document customers' solutions and enhance their referenceability.
  • Address Enterprise Architecture challenges, focusing on Ingest, Backup/Restore, and Business Intelligence.
  • Leverage cross-functional resources to address customers' business and technical needs, such as system health checks, product sizing, migration assistance, and more.
  • Manage and drive closure on customers' open support cases, product bugs, enhancement requests, and action items.
  • Understand new support cases, determine next steps, and follow up to ensure they receive the necessary attention.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
  • 5+ years of experience with complex applications or distributed systems, possessing a broad knowledge of their deployments and operationalization.
  • Experience working closely with customers and partners to successfully deploy complex solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with several technologies, including SingleStore, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle SQL, NoSQL, Key Value Stores, REST, Hadoop, Data Warehouse Appliances, Linux, Python, PHP, and BI/ETL solutions.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes - Scaling, Deployment, and Log Diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of data storage and cloud technologies, including protocols such as Kafka, S3, Monitoring/Observability, security, encryption, Kubernetes, TCP/IP networking, virtualization, data backup/archive, public/private/hybrid cloud, DR, HA, CDC, Replication, Backup/Restore.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and basic understanding of network storage protocols.
  • Linux OS and System Administration experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM & case management.
  • The ability to work and learn independently is a key attribute required for this role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the region (~25%).
