Lead Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting activities of our global affiliates, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage costing activities, including standard costing and inventory revaluation
  • Process invoices for payment, prepare and record supported journal entries
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including GL analysis and variance analysis
  • Analyze and maintain general ledger completeness and accuracy
  • Reconcile monthly and quarterly accounts according to company policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert, analyzing and recording activity for assigned accounts
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to HQ and local controllership teams
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet analysis and review remediation
  • Recommend improvements in cost accounting procedures and policies
  • Support external audits by providing timely financial data and documentation

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant with 4-5 years of experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience working in a multi-GAAP environment and shared service center
  • Proficiency in ERP instance (preferably Oracle)
  • Excellent written and verbal fluency in English
  • Ability to learn and understand standards and processes quickly
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable delivering against performance metrics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of finance, accounting, or related work experience
  • Completed advanced degrees may be substituted for up to two years of work experience
