Supervisor of Patient Information Services

This Release of Information Supervisor position demands a skilled individual who can effectively manage the daily activities of the release of information unit.
The successful candidate will lead unit meetings, address problems, and foster open communication among staff.
Liaising with other departments will be vital in resolving conflicts and ensuring seamless unit operations according to Medical Records policies and procedures.
Collaboration with the ISD will result in optimized system performance, streamlining work processes and enhancing overall department productivity.
During public holidays, strikes, and emergencies, the supervisor will need to manage staff to mitigate staffing shortages.
Duty rosters and attendance records will be meticulously maintained to guarantee adequate staff presence.
The supervisor will evaluate quality performance against established metrics, ensuring adherence to predefined standards.
One of the key responsibilities is to release medical information to external clients on a daily basis, adhering to HIMS guidelines.
The role also involves assisting staff in preparing for JCIA and ISO training, conducting evaluations, and providing continuous performance feedback.
Key Competencies- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4-6 years of experience in the field
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Advanced knowledge of the Health Information Management Services system
- Strong leadership abilities
