Operations Solutions Manager

Job Overview

A global media company seeks an experienced professional to oversee the operations of a participation system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing execution of all participation-related applications are executed properly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of support team
• Lead design efforts for system improvement and enhancement

The role requires efficient management of daily operations related to various systems, including statement processing and audit support.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operations related to multiple systems, including data warehouse support
• Ensure efficient statement processing, including payment processing, statement delivery, and audit support
• Monitor and improve overall process, including key operational performance metrics, batch job runtimes/stability, month-end close, etc.
• Responsible for system stability and performance related to complete reporting cycle, from stakeholder entry to payments/audit support
• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise in implementation, upgrade, and rollout of solutions
• Ensure smooth integration with other systems
• Oversee project team, manage key stakeholders, and prioritize business requirements
• Ensure resources are informed and in support of proposed technical solutions
• Help determine resource roles needed and work with management to secure team members

Solution Design and Implementation

• Collaborate with teams to understand needs and dependencies to better align processes
• Work closely with teams to understand requirements and design solutions that align with objectives
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants for implementation or optimization of solutions
• Communicate effectively to provide updates, training, and support on system functionality and process changes
• Manage customization and enhancement of systems to meet business needs
• Develop and define new and improved workflow and initiatives
• Help provide training and training materials for new processes
• Support key end users in activities
• Manage special assignments, such as evaluating vendors, gathering/evaluating consultant proposals, or other responsibilities as requested
• Manage data privacy and security standards to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate risks related to information, payment information, and process inefficiencies

Strategy

• Develop and execute methodology to evaluate, prioritize, and monitor success of processes
• Accurately articulate strategic issues and provide options for solving them
• Build framework and drive development through dynamic business intelligence tools and dashboards for ongoing planning and goal measurement
• Drive continuous improvement in processes through automation, system optimization, and adoption of new functionalities
• Monitor market trends and innovations to enhance capabilities

Analytics, Compliance, and Risk Management

• Manage data privacy and security standards in operations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate risks related to information, payment information, and process inefficiencies
• Support decision-making by providing insights into system performance trends, payment delays, and user behavior
• Develop comprehensive analysis of processes and review ways of improvement

Qualifications & Experiences

• 8-12 years of prior experience in related field
• 8-12 years of hands-on implementation or operational experience with systems and payments
• 8-12 years of production support or software development leadership experience
• Undergraduate degree required in computer science, mathematics, or business sciences
• Project management for implementations or enhancements
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills to manage teams and stakeholders
• Analytical mindset for performance optimization and process improvements
• Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to prepare documents, presentations, graphs, briefings, and worksheets
• Attention to accuracy and ability to translate insights into compelling narrative; balance between detail and big picture
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with small teams and handle multiple assignments concurrently
