Commercetools Architect

We are seeking a skilled Commercetools Architect to design and develop complex e-commerce solutions for B2B and B2C applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage technical teams across multiple locations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years of experience in Commercetools or similar API-first MACH architectures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical architecture infrastructure design, form content strategy, setting up digital marketing suites, and helping clients with marketing channels.

  • Develop features such as multisite and multichannel delivery, content syndication, multilingual support, automated workflows, and social media integration.
  • Set up project review bootstrapping and recommend migration approaches.
  • Define and implement key technical constructs of the program.
  • Interact with clients to create specifications and solution architecture for content collaboration solutions.
Responsibilities

The Commercetools Architect will be responsible for:

  • Conducting sprint planning, project planning, production maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Creating industry-specific digital architecture with roles involving analysis design, development, administration, and integration of distributed architecture applications in web-based internet/intranet, client-server.
  • Managing performance, security, and scalability of digital platforms.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Coordinating internal and vendor development teams.
  • Reviewing and assessing the technical skills of team members.
  • Providing technical leadership and oversight on implementation.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years of experience in Commercetools or similar API-first MACH architectures.
  • Strong experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience managing technical teams across multiple geographical locations.
