Job Title: Medical Claims Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Claims Specialist to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of medical claims.

About the Role

The Medical Claims Specialist will be responsible for electronically submitting, tracking, and resolving claims submitted by healthcare providers on behalf of patients. This includes processing rejections, appeals, and denials from third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurately process all incoming claims, including electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions.
  • Utilize various software applications to track and manage claims throughout the billing cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance carriers to resolve claim-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claim status, payment history, and patient information.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing or claims management.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
