About the Role:

  • Meet annual targets assigned by the Head of Department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • To deliver courses as per faculty workload policy, contributing to a stimulating academic environment for students.
  • To assist in the development of educational materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.
  • Contribute to the creation of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions. Additionally, assess student's progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Continuously develop own teaching and learning skills, contributing to the planning of teaching programs.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  • Liaise effectively with academic colleagues and those in practice to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements as required.
  • Evaluate and assess student work and examinations, providing feedback to enhance their understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Virtual Learning Environment and other necessary software.
  • Embed Islamic and ethical values within the teaching content.
  • Participate in departmental and university committee activities.
  • Ensure teaching methods and content align with RIU's mission, responding promptly to issues related to subordinates and student needs.
