**Job Description**

As a Strategic Construction Leader for Sustainable Development, you will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to improve the lives of children and families around the world. This position will be responsible for managing and monitoring all construction activities in the Country Office, including school infrastructures and health centers.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Preparation of annual workplans for construction projects
- Collaboration with UNICEF Programmes/Operations and coordination with government counterparts
- Preparation of design and technical documents
- Support to procurement processes
- Monitoring of construction projects

**Requirements**

Minimum requirements:
- An advanced university degree (master's or above) or equivalent in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or other relevant technical areas
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management, site supervision, quality assurance, and/or other directly-related technical fields
- Understanding of development and humanitarian work
- Technical knowledge and experience in projects related to solarization

Desirable qualifications include:

- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency situations
- Experience implementing construction projects for UN or development sector organizations
- Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station
