Job Description

We seek a skilled Business Development Representative to initiate strategic conversations with business owners around exit planning, funding, and succession strategies. This role involves engaging decision-makers in meaningful dialogue to uncover needs and set the stage for further consultation.

As the first point of contact, you'll play a crucial role in introducing our services and helping business owners begin thinking about their long-term goals. Your objective is to build rapport, spark interest, and qualify potential clients for follow-up by our advisory team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cold calling, appointment-setting, or outreach – ideally in a B2B or financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively reach out to business owners via outbound cold calls
  • Engage prospects in thoughtful conversations around succession planning, funding options, and strategic exits
  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments for senior advisors
  • Use CRM and call tracking tools to log activity and maintain accurate records
  • Continuously refine messaging and approach based on feedback and performance
Experience/Skillset
  • Experience: Proven success in cold calling, appointment-setting, or outreach
  • Communication: Excellent conversational and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and convey professionalism
  • Industry Familiarity: Comfortable discussing business transitions, funding, and growth strategies with stakeholders
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiar with CRM platforms and basic call tracking software
