We are seeking a seasoned leader to take charge of our Air Freight Operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve air freight operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and local market conditions.
  • BUILD and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Select and finalize overseas agents as per business requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with airlines and suppliers, securing favorable terms.
  • Oversee strategic planning and budgeting for air freight business, driving growth and profitability.
  • Provide leadership in product development, resource allocation, and branch activities.
  • Foster healthy relationships between branches and trade bodies/government agencies.
  • Manage airline/supplier contracts, performance, and relationships.
  • Ensure IATA compliance across all operations.
  • Monitor and renew IATA/ACCAP & Civil Aviation certificates annually.
  • Oversee overall AFR operations, including sites/facilities, traffic management, technical support, resource allocation, and local purchasing.
  • Develop department budgets and assume ownership.
  • Approve payments related to AFR operations, including IATA and agent fees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably with well-established companies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
