Job Description:

The Assistant Manager Purchase role involves managing the purchase of inventory items in accordance with established policies and quality standards to ensure timely availability of materials for the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing quotations, price negotiations, and reviewing purchase orders and bank documents for the procurement of imported/local materials.
  • Coordinating clearance of consignments through collaboration with local regulatory bodies and clearing agents.
  • Streamlining shipment receiving and handing over processes.
  • Securing import permissions from relevant authorities.
  • Facilitating audits of vendors to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Developing alternative sources of materials to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Implementing contingency plans to address delays or losses in the production process.
  • Collaborating with Quality Control to approve receiving reports and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Verifying supplier/agent bills and ensuring accurate financing documentation.
  • Maintaining detailed records of approvals and rejections.
  • Analyzing cost implications and providing recommendations for optimized purchasing strategies.
