Community Engagement Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our digital frontlines, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our online community through engaging conversations, empathetic responses, and thoughtful interactions.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, the ability to think on their feet, and a keen sense of humor. They'll be comfortable navigating sensitive topics and turning challenging interactions into positive brand moments.

About the Role
  • Respond to traveler reviews across various digital channels with a mix of empathy, professionalism, and personality.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and direct messages across all active social media platforms.
  • Engage actively in community forums to build trust, offer value, and become a recognized voice in that space.

This role requires strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to different tone and situations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a community engagement strategy that aligns with our brand values and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to identify trends in feedback and flag opportunities or concerns.
  3. Contribute to FAQ and response templates that allow for efficiency without sacrificing authenticity.
  4. Track engagement KPIs and report on community sentiment, common questions, and content opportunities.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in community management, social media, or customer engagement.
  • Familiarity with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Zendesk, Google Reviews, Yelp for Business, and forum platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to different tone and situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in travel, hospitality, or a lifestyle brand is a plus.
  • Bonus: You've been an active member or moderator in an online forum or group.
