Job Title

Sr. Network Engineer

Job Overview
  • Responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of new server hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection systems.
  • Configure user accounts, permissions and passwords.
  • Monitor network usage and ensure efficient use of servers.
  • Provide IT solutions to business and management problems.
  • Ensure all IT equipment complies with industry standards.
  • Analyse and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
  • Implement routine preventative measures and maintain network security.
  • Offer training and technical support for users.
Requirements
  • Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification.
  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL experience is beneficial.
  • Additional certifications may be required by management.
  • Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support.
  • Maintain network security through proper VPN and Firewall configuration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

In this role, you will work closely with other departments/organisations, collaborate with other IT staff, plan and implement future IT developments, undertake project work, manage the website and keep internal networks running, as well as monitor the use of the web by employees.
