Logistics Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced logistics operations manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will lead a team of logistics personnel, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards for efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

The logistics operations manager plays a critical role in maintaining the supply chain's integrity by coordinating logistics staff, monitoring performance, and enforcing compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

  • Supervise and coordinate logistics staff in receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Monitor team performance, assign daily tasks, and ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies across all logistics operations.

This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse equipment operations is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage logistics operations to meet customer demands and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with inventory control, procurement, and transport teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions to minimize delays.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in logistics or business preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and warehouse equipment operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with lean warehousing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations.
