Operating Room Sterilization Specialist

The Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre is currently seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Sterilization Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sterilization and disinfection within the hospital's operating rooms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control procedures, thereby ensuring seamless operation of the department.
  • Cleaning, sterilizing, and storing all surgical instruments with utmost care and precision, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of operating rooms, including preparing equipment and supplies, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care.
  • Liaising with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth communication and coordination, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Surgical Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating expertise in sterilization and disinfection techniques.
  • Relevant experience in the field of Sterilization and Disinfection, preferably in a hospital setting, showcasing a strong understanding of infection control measures.
