Category Procurement Manager- Commercial Job Description

This is a senior procurement role responsible for managing the commercial category. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement and a deep understanding of media and marketing.

  1. The Category Procurement Manager - Commercials will be responsible for obtaining procurement requirements from various stakeholders, analyzing requests, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to devise solutions and sourcing strategies.
  2. Negotiate with vendors for procuring goods/services as per received requirements, foster healthy relationships with vendors, and resolve any queries/issues within specified timelines.
  3. Collaborate with contract management team to finalize draft of legal contract with vendors, liaise with Service Operations to prepare POs and eventual sharing with vendors.
  4. Exhibit business-oriented and customer-centric mindset, develop a procurement calendar in his/her domain, and create a detailed view of procurement master plan in alignment with budget forecast.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MBA/ B.E/ BBA with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, working in a related role.
  • Well-versed with procurement policies and practices.
  • Able to manage internal & external stakeholders, hands-on experience of using Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS, familiar with new technology tools used in reporting and analytics.
  • Strong communicator with ability to negotiate and solve problems, strong analytical skills, solution-oriented approach to problem solving, and ability to think out of box.
