Job Summary:

As a Senior Nursing Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a nursing unit and ensure high-quality patient care. This involves managing nursing staff and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to foster a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Supervision: Ensure management of paramedical and nursing staff, including deployment of staff with consultation of concerned matrons, guaranteeing compliance with quality nursing standards.
  2. Cross-Functional Coordination: Play a coordinating role between nursing, paramedical staff, consultants, and hospital administration.
  3. Quality Monitoring: Monitor nursing practices through rounds and visits of wards, OPD, ER, OT, checking patients' files, nursing notes, and inventory of medicine, ensuring coordination with respective matrons for cleanliness and maintenance of wards.
  4. Interviews and Training: Serve as a member of the board for interviews of nursing staff for all areas and ensure implementation of orientation and training programs for new staff.
  5. Matron/Nursing In-Charge Supervision: Supervise and monitor the duties of matrons/nursing in charge.
  6. Staff Interaction: Maintain interaction with nursing and paramedical staff to resolve operational and administrative affairs related to the workplace.
  7. Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement approved policies and procedures, conduct internal monitoring/audit of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance of nursing procedures in coordination with the healthcare quality directorate.
  8. HIMS Compliance: Ensure compliance in HIMS Nursing Module in coordination with the HIMS coordinator and HQD.
  9. Training and Development: Identify training gaps and plan organize nursing and paramedical staff training in coordination with HQD/HDS, ensuring that scheduled training sessions are conducted.
  10. Performance Improvement: Supervise, measure, and improve post-training performance to ensure quality healthcare services provision.
