Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, interviewing participants, and collecting data. They will also be expected to train junior staff in research and interviewing skills, develop and conduct training sessions, and provide supervision and support to approximately 10 staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and write detailed notes on interviews and observation visits
  • Manage fieldwork process to ensure effective use of time
  • Facilitate meetings among the research team and junior staff
  • Train new junior staff in research/interviewing skills and proper data collection
  • Visit different households in the communities to ensure the successful completion of data collection in their areas including quality control
  • Liaise with administration regarding logistics for fieldwork
  • Develop and conduct regular training of staff
  • Provide supervision and support for approximately 10 staff members
  • Raise wider community awareness on child health-related issues based on prepared project activity guidelines
  • Ensure field implementation of project-related SOPs/guidelines as defined in the research project

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience working in a reputable healthcare sector
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Ability to be an excellent team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
  • Will to work in the communities/field sites
  • Good computer and report writing skills
