Sales Executive Job Description

This role involves managing sales calls, email management, rate enquiries, quotation preparation, and follow-up activities to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Email Management: Check and respond to incoming emails from clients and F-Agents, taking necessary action.
  • Sales Calls: Conduct daily sales calls with existing and prospective clients via telephone and personal visits.
  • Rate Enquiries: Receive rate enquiries from clients, and if rates are not available, send request messages to the concerned F-Agent(s) with shipment details to obtain fresh rates.
  • Quotation Preparation: Prepare and submit quotations to clients in response to their rate enquiries, considering competition and company guidelines while marking up rates.
  • Follow-up: Follow up on quotations until acceptance or rejection.
  • Business Confirmation: Obtain business confirmation from clients in the form of Routing Orders and Shipping Instructions (if quotation is accepted), and forward these to the concerned F-Agent.
  • Client Communication: Keep clients informed about pre-alerts, status updates, and actual shipment arrivals.
  • Freight Recovery: Follow up with clients regarding freight dues recovery (for charges collect shipments) until settled.
  • Rate Maintenance: Maintain updated airfreight and seafreight rate registers country-wise.
Additional Tasks:
  • Sales Activity Report: Prepare a monthly sales activity report (bifurcated into weeks) and submit it to the Country Manager.
  • Company Introduction: Dispatch introductory letters to prospective companies and file them in the 'Company Introduction File' for record and follow-up purposes.
  • Export Department Coordination: Coordinate with the exports department regarding rates-air/sea to submit quotations to exporters. After quotation acceptance, hand over export jobs to the export department for further necessary actions.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have prior experience in sales and customer service.

Work Environment: This role will be based in Lahore, Pakistan, and requires frequent travel to meet clients and attend meetings.
