Freight Export Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freight Export Manager to oversee our Ocean Freight Export LCL operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external departmental issues, resolving problems efficiently, and coordinating with carriers and agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review Bills of Lading (BLs) before issuing original BLs.
  2. Sign original BLs for Ocean Freight Export LCL shipments.
  3. Coordinate with carriers regarding payments and issues related to Master Bills of Lading (MBLs).
  4. Collaborate with carriers and agents on vessel arrivals and container release statuses.
  5. Address and resolve customer and agent complaints.
  6. Supervise ISF and AMS filings for USA and Canada shipments.
  7. Handle FMC rate filings for USA shipments.
  8. Obtain necessary certifications from recognized associations.
  9. Ensure achievement of departmental KPIs.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
