Job Title:

The Utilities Project Coordinator role involves overseeing the solar project lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition into construction. Effective relationship management is crucial to resolve issues and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead intake meetings from land sales to utilities.
  • Conduct basic due diligence on project documents.
  • Pursue the utility application process and document/track projects according to established procedures.
  • Submit project applications to the utility.
  • Administer and update NES databases for all utility companies and projects.
  • Facilitate project-specific data management.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue between internal stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication of project status.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to control accountabilities and deliverables.
  • Follow up with utility companies when necessary.
  • Monitor and communicate deadlines for utility applications.
  • Understand project scope and schedule field work for assigned tasks.
  • Upload and track utility documents for applications.
  • Submit critical project compliance documents to utilities, REC registries, and other administrative bodies.
  • Provide support to Utility Project Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and NES teams as needed.
  • Assess project utility costs to assist finance department with budgeting.
Requirements

This full-time position may require extended hours and frequent weekend work. Regular standing, walking, talking, and use of hands are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of business office experience with general knowledge of business processes.
  • Basic business information and research skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, organization, planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and Adobe Pro.
  • Familiarity with operating online applications across various platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in customer service and email correspondence.
