About the Assistant Planning Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage day-to-day planning, supplies, and operations ensuring smooth production flow. Key responsibilities include overseeing production plans, scheduling for manufacturing, packaging, raw material planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and imports/exports.

The ideal candidate will prepare production schedules based on sales forecasts, align with plant capacity, execute dispatch plans in compliance with service level targets and customer commitments. They will also coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, and Warehouse departments to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the Assistant Planning Manager will monitor physical inventory and ERP systems for material issuance, balances, and consumption tracking, raise timely Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for local and imported materials based on lead times and actual requirements, and manage inventory levels of all components and finished goods to prevent overstocking or shortages.

The role requires a strong understanding of production output to meet delivery schedules, as well as close coordination with R&D and QC departments for updates to BOMs and artwork related to packaging materials. The successful candidate will support the development of new BOMs in line with new product launches or material changes, and implement and maintain planning strategies for working capital optimization, WIP management, and medium-to-long term alignment with sales forecasts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • MBA/BS Engg (Mechanical) / Min 3-5 Years of experience

Preferred Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in production planning preferably in FMCG.
  • Excellent presentation and data analytics skills required.
  • Must be hands-on with MS Office, Oracle (ERP), BI report analysis.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and high-energy individual.
  • Mathematics skills related to the area of Statistics.
  • Be tech-savvy and enjoy learning in the digital space.
