Category Growth Lead

We're seeking a seasoned Category Lead to spearhead revenue growth, content optimization, and customer satisfaction across a category level. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities to lead a team of category specialists effectively.

The core responsibilities include:
  • Developing and executing category strategies to drive revenue growth and sales performance.
  • Analyzing data, market trends, and customer insights to inform category strategy and decision-making.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to provide tools, training, and insights that optimize field performance.
  • Establishing pricing strategies aligned with margin targets and market dynamics.
  • Ensuring successful execution of promotional campaigns and trade marketing initiatives.
  • Leading a team of sales to execute category-specific plans and initiatives, including client outreach, onboarding, and renewal strategy.
  • Cross-functionally collaborating with teams to ensure alignment and execution of category plans and initiatives.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and optimizing category performance, including traffic, conversion, acquisition, renewals, and revenue metrics in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Tracking team KPIs, including sales volume, revenue, and margin.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of sales leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience using data and insights to create actionable strategies.
  • Strong command of English and local/regional languages (verbal and written).
  • Business communication and negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience in online classifieds or online marketplace industry is preferred.
