Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Web Scraper Developer to design, build, and maintain a robust web scraping solution. This project-based role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of web technologies and advanced scraping techniques. You will be responsible for automating data extraction from multiple public and private sources while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable web scraping scripts and tools to:
  • Extract, clean, and organize data from websites, APIs, and other platforms.
  • Handle advanced scraping challenges, including JavaScript-rendered content, CAPTCHA, and rate limits.
  • Bypass IP detection and blocking mechanisms by managing proxies and rotating user agents.
  • Deliver extracted data in structured formats such as CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets.
  • Implement robust error-handling mechanisms to manage network issues, website structure changes, and extraction failures.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs for successes, failures, and warnings.
  • Build a notification system for critical errors (e.g., email alerts).

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python and scraping libraries (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM structures.
  • Experience with proxy management and handling dynamic content.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration processes is a plus.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
