Assistant Manager Common Core VNF Planning

Your Impactful Goals will include: 

The impactful goals include virtualized/containerized Core Network Design, Planning, Rollout, Optimization, Managing & handling budgeting / financials disciplines of the unit and requirement analysis according to network strategy.

Your Typical Day will look like: 

• Design, Planning, Implementation, Troubleshooting and Optimization of Common Core VNF functions e.g., HLR, HSS-LTE, HSS-IMS, EIR, ENUM, AAA, UDC- BE, UDR, UDM, Entitlement Server, HSM, STP/MNP, DRA, EA, SCP, SEPP, SS7/Dm Firewall, NRF, NSSF, NWDAF and PTA-DIRBS Requirement, etc. 

• Network design evolution towards latest technologies based on NFV, CNF and SDN etc.

• Ensure the timely forecast and capitalization of the projects, keeping in view the effective forecasting, cost control and engagement of procurement process.

• Prepare the high and low-level design for all core network implementation & expansion projects

• Prepare signaling and traffic routing plan to achieve the highest network availability.

• Scheduling and verifying critical activities like rollout, expansions and upgrades in core networks along with ensuring proper test plans.

• Traffic report analysis in order to identify KPI deviation and capacity issues and initiate necessary actions to address those issues.

• Stakeholder and Vendor Management 

• Implementation activities include but are not limited to configuration loading, software and hardware upgrades, software updates, new functionality or system integration, subscriber/link migration, and re-parenting.

• Review, coordinate and manage installation, commissioning and implementation activities procured from vendors or third parties.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in the area of Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Telecom Engineering from a reputable institute.

Work Experience

• Working experience of 5-6 years in Core networks Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization 

• Experience on latest Tech e.g., 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc.

• Experience in SDN/Cloud based deployments

• Any certification e.g., RedHat, Oracle, Linux, OpenStack, CCNP/JNCIP/HCIP, etc.

• Work Experience on Huawei & multi-vendor Platforms

Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: 

• Excellent Understanding of Common Core Network Architecture and integrations including 3rd party (e.g., Billing, VAS, IT etc.)

• 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G Core Network expertise - Direct expertise in the analysis, design, dimensioning, rollout, auditing, troubleshooting and optimization of network elements e.g., HLR, HSS-LTE, HSS-IMS, EIR, ENUM, AAA, UDC- BE, UDR, UDM, Entitlement Server, HSM, STP/MNP, DRA, SCP, SEPP, SS7/Dm Firewall, NRF, NSSF, NWDAF and, etc. 

• Good Knowledge & understanding of VoLTE, VoWiFi & 5G based solutions

• Knowledge of IP network design, Implementation & Optimization

• Strong background for mobile signalling (SS7, Diameter & HTTP/2) and different Mobile call & data scenarios. 

• Solid knowledge of 3GPP/IETF standards and their application to architecture and design of 2/3/4G Core networks. 

• Designing and evaluation of IP and 3GPP QoS requirements and their mapping for the 3G/VoLTE Policy implementation for Voice and Roaming.

• Good knowledge and experience of Voice/EPC networks as well as Linux and opensource applications

• Handling Core network BOQs, quotations and solution verification with concerned vendors till handover to the operations team.

• Excellent Knowledge in number analysis, signalling, routing of calls, call flows and analysing call trace messages.

• Pro-active approach towards identification & rectification of challenging area in the network.

• Decision making keeping in view both short term as well as long term company interests in mind

• Positive attitude towards understanding of company policies and management demands.

• Participate actively with product development team, Commercial and suppliers in carrying out new service and platform introduction, implementation and integration.

• Willing to adapt to stringent timelines to meet objectives.

• Strong knowledge in network management systems and security platform

• Able to handle pressure and difficult situation and work under time constraints

• Produce all relevant detailed design documents and method of procedure scope of works for mobile core projects.

• Good attitude and logical thinking ability

• Excellent Analytical Skill and Incident/Problem Solving

• Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
