We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company looking for an experienced and passionate Google Sheets and Excel Specialist (or Developer) to take ownership of our digital platforms and to create high-quality, customisable digital assets, including budget trackers, wedding planners, salary calculators, income/expense trackers, and more. Our goal is to deliver impressive templates with stunning layouts, vibrant colours, dark mode options, multi-tab functionality, seamless data integration across tabs, and advanced automations that enhance user experience.

This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in Pakistan.

Role Overview:

Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, full-stack developer with a meticulous eye for detail and a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our website, ensuring a smooth, responsive, and user-friendly experience. We're looking for a perfectionist who is not only technically proficient but also committed to delivering clean, precise, and polished results every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Google Sheets and Excel templates for various niches (e.g., personal finance, event planning, business tools).
• Create multi-tab structures where data dynamically pulls from one tab to another using formulas, queries, and scripts.
• Implement eye-catching layouts with custom colours, themes, conditional formatting, and dark mode toggles for enhanced user experience.
• Develop automations using Google Apps Script or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to handle tasks like data validation, notifications, custom menus, or integrations with Google Forms/Drive.
• Ensure templates are intuitive, customisable, and error-proof for end-users (e.g., protected cells, user guides embedded in the sheet).
• Optimise sheets for performance, mobile compatibility, and sharing (e.g., as view-only templates).
• Test templates thoroughly for functionality across different devices and Google Workspace/Excel environments.
• Iterate based on feedback to refine designs and add features like dashboards, charts, pivot tables, and interactive elements.
• Stay updated on Google Sheets, Excel, and Workspace best practices and new features to innovate our product line.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expert Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel: Deep knowledge of advanced formulas (e.g., ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, FILTER, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH in Google Sheets; similar functions in Excel), pivot tables, data validation, and conditional formatting in both platforms. Ability to design and optimise templates for compatibility across Google Workspace and Excel (2019 and above).
• Google Apps Script and VBA Expertise: Strong scripting skills in JavaScript for Google Apps Script (e.g., automations, custom functions, triggers) and VBA for Excel (e.g., macros, user-defined functions) for automations and API integrations if needed.
• Design and UI/UX Skills: Ability to create visually stunning layouts with colour schemes, icons, charts, and themes. Experience implementing dark mode via scripts or formatting is a plus.
• Data Management and Integration: Experience building multi-tab sheets with interconnected data flows, including importing/exporting data and handling large datasets efficiently in both Google Sheets and Excel.
• Problem-Solving and Creativity: Proven track record of turning ideas into functional, innovative tools. Portfolio of similar Google Sheets and Excel projects (e.g., dashboards, trackers) is highly preferred.
• Technical Tools: Familiarity with Google Workspace ecosystem (Drive, Forms, etc.) and Excel features (e.g., Power Query, Data Model). Bonus: Knowledge of add-ons like Script Editor, or complementary tools for cross-compatibility checks.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent communication for remote collaboration, and a passion for creating user-centric digital products.
• Experience Level: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Google Sheets and Excel development. Digital product creation experience is a bonus but not required.
• Education: No formal degree required; self-taught experts welcome. Certifications in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Specialist, or related fields are a plus.
